Why 5:20?

The verse behind our name

The name AFCO 5:20 comes from 2 Corinthians 5:20. In this verse, the apostle Paul describes followers of Christ as ambassadors, sent to carry a message of hope and reconciliation into the world.

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

That calling is the heart of Ambassadors for Christ Outreach. It is why we take the church to the streets, meet people where they are, and believe that no one is beyond hope.
